Guaranteed Access Program (GAP)

What is the Guaranteed Access Program?

The Guaranteed Access Program (GAP) provides a one-time, tax-free payment to a person's loved ones at the time of their passing. It is intended to help cover final expenses during a very difficult time for a person's loved ones.

Key Information

  • Eligibility: Available to individuals under the age of 80 who are living with a long-term medical condition.
  • Guaranteed access: No medical tests or medical records are required to qualify.
  • Benefit payment: A tax-free lump sum (minimum $10,000) is paid to a person of your choosing at the time of your passing.
  • Maturity benefit: If you live to the end of the term, the funds are paid directly to you instead. Minimum payout is $10,000.
  • Guaranteed payout: The funds are always paid out — either to a loved one upon passing, or to you if you outlive the term.
  • Monthly contribution: The program is designed to be financially accessible for people at all income levels. Cost is typically $1 to $2 a day and is guaranteed to never increase.
